The tenth edition of the Modave Summer School in Mathematical Physics took place from the 1st to the 5th September 2014. It was organized by PhD students from ULB, VUB and KULeuven.

Stay tuned for next edition...

Modave is a charming village in Belgium near Huy. The school will take place as every year in the center Les cent fontaines.

The arrival day is Sunday 31st August 2014 from 4pm (dinner is planned at 7pm on that evening). The departure day is either Friday 5th September 2014 from 7pm or Saturday 6th before 2pm. No lecture is foreseen on the 31st and on the 6th.

Modave is not very accessible, the simplest solution to get there is to take the train to Huy, from where we will organize a shuttle to Modave. All details about the trains (timetables, changes and names of intermediate stations, route plan…) can be found on the website of the Belgian National Railroad Company.

Leisure activities

Some activities will be proposed during the free time: different sport activities, a visit to the Modave castle, a game set on Thursday night (right after the BBQ). It might also be possible to visit a local brewery. Participation is discretionary.

To celebrate the tenth edition, some of the previous organizers (among whom Stephane, who also organized the first edition!) thought it would be nice to have some fireworks to illuminate the sky over Modave.

Congrats to the team The Victorious, who won the school game namely an orienteering race around the village (with the outstanding time of 19m46s)!
