Programme objectives

Management issues are becoming increasingly important in the world of arts and culture. The aim of the Master in Management of the Cultural Sector is to prepare students to manage a structure or project from the arts or cultural sphere independently and to enable them to hold management level posts in a larger institution. In order to achieve this, students learn about the different facets of cultural activity and are required to develop an analytical approach to the management of the cultural sphere and to cultural and artistic policy. This Master's course has an international focus, drawing not just on Belgian, but also international case studies.

Progression per curriculum unit

The concept of a year of studies gives way to a system of accumulation of credits based on the student's individual programme. The cycle programme is offered in units of 60 credits. The units of 60 credits are proposed as an "ideal" course of study for students enrolled in this programme.
