Master in Political Sciences : General

MA-POLIorganized by the faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences during academic year 2017-2018

Programme objectives

More generally, the programme also aims for students to acquire key skills for their future careers: coherent and well-structured oral and written expression, the ability to find and manage information, and language skills, one of the key aspects for getting a job. Students are regularly encouraged to read English texts and a number of courses are taught in English.

With skills tailored to the business world in their pockets, graduates have great opportunities open to them on the job market, and very quickly find interesting work where they can make the most of their training.

Structure of curriculum and disciplines taught

Graduates with an MA in political science have the opportunity of becoming first-rate political scientists working in the field of their choice. Students will be developing skills and knowledge in power and political action issues at national, subnational, European and international levels via a course offering relating to citizens, political actors (parties, unions, pressure groups) and institutions.

Progression per curriculum unit

The concept of a year of studies gives way to a system of accumulation of credits based on the student's individual programme. The cycle programme is offered in units of 60 credits. The units of 60 credits are proposed as an "ideal" course of study for students enrolled in this programme.
