Programme objectives

The one-year Master program in Tourism Science and Management offers its graduates a global and interdisciplinary view of the tourism sector. The program gives therefore particular attention to the role of stakeholders and development policies that are sensitive to local and environmental needs. Students are introduced to impact management tools in order to guarantee a harmonious integration of economic, social and environmental aspects.

Structure of curriculum and disciplines taught

The Master 60 ECTS is a one year Master providing access to a sample of the Master 120ECTS curriculum. It addresses mainly tourism professionals wishing to broaden their competences and knowledge of tourism.

Teaching methods

The Master takes 1 year and is completed by a final dissertation. The Master combines a variety of teaching modules related to all main aspects of tourism as well as a compulsory yearly fieldtrip.

Students have to participate actively in the courses and deliver a broad range of papers. Moreover, tourism practitioners and experts are regularly invited to present their work.

Progression per curriculum unit

The concept of a year of studies gives way to a system of accumulation of credits based on the student's individual programme. The cycle programme is offered in units of 60 credits. The units of 60 credits are proposed as an "ideal" course of study for students enrolled in this programme.
